What is an Auction & Festival for World Relief and Development?
People of all ages enjoy the festival fair atmosphere with great food, auction, music, children’s activities, artisan markets, and activities for the whole family. The auction also expresses Christian compassion for those less fortunate.
World Relief - Relief From What?
Starvation, poverty, the ravages of war, homelessness, and disease.
Mennonite Central Committee (MCC)
MCC was founded in 1920 to respond to famine caused by war and revolution in Russia. Since then, MCC’s efforts have expanded to 58 of the world's poorest countries where more than 800 MCC volunteers work in agriculture, community development, education, healthcare, social services, economic/ technical development and peace concerns. "True evangelical faith cannot lie dormant
it clothes the naked,
it feeds the hungry
it comforts the sorrowful
it shelters the destitute
it serves those that harm it
it binds up that which is wounded
it has become all things to all people".
Menno Simons, 1539.
